The event extended the boundaries of my own creative skills…

My time at the Creative Arts Encounter really worked to reinforce my identity in Christ. I have become a bit bolder in my own creativity from my time spent with others who are using their creative gifts for the sake of the Gospel. Hosting members of the Harvest Sound Team allowed me to experience sacrifice, gain much joy through late night conversations and being able to speak into the lives of people from all over the world. Working hard with others to build the Percussion Wall and to clean up the effects of the floodwaters produced a strength and confidence in me through bringing out skills and talents that tend to lie dormant. As BYRON’s photographer and videographer, the event extended the boundaries of my own creative skills in how I thought about what to capture, as well as in the production of the “recap” video I produced of the week. On a more personal level, the words of the people who sang a prophetic song over me during the Creative Evangelism Workshop spoke right to my heart and reminded me that the Father knows me and loves me!
