Hidden in the center of Plainsboro, the BYRON Barn is one of the towns oldest structures. Filled with charm and warmth, it is a lovely space to refocus, inspire creativity, and make memories.
The BYRON Barn has hosted group or personal day-retreats, seminars, arts events and workshops, Girl Scouts, birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, board meetings, as well as long term rentals for church gatherings.
Seasonally decorated by BYRON’s Creative Director, Corinne Sekinger, the colors of the season are incorporated into the steady framework of the barn. You will always find a bit of the outdoors inside the barn. Corinne is also available to work with you to personalize décor for your event.
If you want to incorporate food into your event or gathering you can bring it yourself or hire a caterer. For smaller gatherings we offer fresh, all natural and organic home cooked food. Gluten free menus upon request. Meet with Corinne and decide on a menu. Prices determined by menu.
At 2000 square feet, the Great Room is a large open space layout with original beamed ceilings. Equipped with a sound system, projector, central heating and AC, this space is ideal for parties, seminars, and other such events.
The Lounge welcomes you as soon as you enter the barn, with cozy sofas and chairs as well as a large barn table. This space is great for board meetings, support groups, a team planning day, or just a lovely seating area to accompany your larger event in the Great Room. The Lounge is 650 square feet.
A spacious cooking and prep area, plus a spacious open area make 1000 square feet to use in different ways. The kitchen can stand on its own for birthday parties, or group day retreats, but can also be used solely as a dining room when a larger event is taking place.
Outside are gardens, possible seating areas, space for games, and a large field perfect for sports or a tent.
